Rowani is a 100% black women owned (BWO) and broad-based economic empowerment (B-BBEE) company that was founded in 2015 by the sole director, Mrs. H Malogwa. The woman-led business was established as a small, micro enterprise (SMME) in July 2015 with the aim of supplying a wide range of indispensable consumables to mining houses and power stations. Since the company’s inception to date, the company has been engaged in retail trade as well as the rendering of services e.g., repair of pumps & motors, general construction services (fence building) and civil services with the various power supplying Eskom Power Stations.
Rowani endorses the values of equity and inclusive opportunities for both the female and male counterparts within the business sector. Rowani aims to channel the woman-led establishment towards the ‘challenging, stimulating male dominated’ spaces instead of rendering the ‘lax services’ that women are conventionally believed to be partaking in and domineering.
